Kashmir University was established in 1948 to impart quality education to students from different backgrounds. There are 45 Kashmir University-affiliated Colleges and 21 Constituent Colleges. This state university offers a plethora of UG, OG, Diploma, and Certificate courses that are both UGC and AICTE-approved. Given its stellar placements and world-class teaching pedagogy, Kashmir University has been ranked 33rd by NIRF in the overall category, followed by Grade A+ accreditation from NAAC.

Kashmir University Course Admission is based on a student's merit from the previous qualifying exams, and some conventional courses require entrance exams. Kashmir University B. Tech Admission

According to the Kashmir University admission criteria, students seeking admission to full-time 4-year B. Tech programs must gain more than 50% aggregate marks in the previous qualifying exams in relevant subjects like mathematics, chemistry, physics, and English.

Moreover, eligible students must also take the JEE MAINS. Based on the ranking, admission will be granted. Also, there is a provision for Kashmir University B. Tech lateral entry programs wherein students with a diploma can apply and complete their education.

Kashmir University B.Ed Admission

Kashmir University also offers admission to full-time 2-year long B. Ed programs, which can only be taken by graduates with a valid UG degree from a UGC-Approved university. Kashmir University BA LLB Admission

Those who do not take this entrance exam will have to sit for the University's entrance test, which will include 60 questions for 1 mark each. Also, for every incorrect answer, a 0.25 will be deducted. So, students can apply accordingly, keeping in mind their preferred disciplines. Kashmir University BVA and B. Voc Admission

In contrast to other UG programs at the University, admission to full-time BVA (Bachelor's in Visual Arts) and B. Voc (Bachelor's in Vocational Studies) programs require only securing good merit in the previous qualifying exams. So, candidates must aim for more than 50% aggregate marks in their class 12th/Pre-University exams and that from recognized boards and in relevant subjects like English and Arts. Selection of the applicants is solely based on academic merit. Kashmir University UG Merit List will be drawn based on 10+2 scores.

Kashmir University BBA and B. Com Admission

The University of Kashmir UG Admission is available to the 3-year BBA and B. Com programs based on the applicant's performance in the previous qualifying exams, generally class 12th or Pre-University tests. So, it is compulsory to secure at least 50% aggregate marks in these tests, and that too under a recognized board.

However, the University offers a 5% mark relaxation for students belonging to reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD/Kashmiri Students. Although final admissions are based only on the Kashmir University merit list, those who take the CUET UG exam for desired subjects will be preferred over those who don't.

Kashmir University BBA+MBA Admission

The BBA + MBA course is a great choice for those students who wish to complete their education and earn 2 degrees in one go. It also saves them the hassle of applying to several entrance exams simultaneously.

However, due to its popularity among students, admission to the BBA + MBA course requires applicants to secure more than 50% aggregate marks in their Pre-University exams and from recognized boards, followed by taking University based entrance exam.

Kashmir University B. Pharm Admission

Kashmir University MBA Admission

Among the Kashmir University PG Courses, MBA is a full-time 2-year long course that is highly sought-after among graduates because of its high demand in the industry. Applicants trying to take admission in this program must secure good merit in their UG degree exams, and that too from a UGC Approved university.

Afterwards, they must also sit for some entrance exams, including CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ SNAP/GMAT. Suppose students who have not attempted these exams must appear for Kashmir University MBA Entrance Exam.

The full-time 2-year long MCA (Master's in Computers Applications) is a PG program open to all students who wish to develop their computer and technology careers. For admission, it is mandatory to pass the bachelor's level exams, preferably a B. Tech/ B. E./ BCA/ B. Sc (IT and CSE) with at least 45% aggregate marks, followed by the University's official entrance test. To appear for the examination, students must download the Kashmir University PG Entrance admit card via the official website.

Kashmir University Law admission  Admission

Kashmir University offers admission to full-time 3-year LLB, five year BA LLB at the UG level. Besides, it offers admission to the 1 year PG law programme that is LLM.

  • Candidates willing to apply for BA LLB shall have studied 10+2 with not less than 45% aggregate marks. Selection is based on CLAT UG scores.
  • Candidates seeking LLB admission in Kashmir University must possess a bachelor's degree. Selection is based on CLAT UG scores.

Candidate must have done 10+2 from J&K Board of School Education with PCM subjects as mandatory. Admissions will be based on JEE Main entrance exam scores and counseling.
