University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering was established in Bangalore, Karnataka, in 1917. UVCE has approvals from AICTE and NAAC accredited with Grade' A'.  UVCE is one of the oldest institutions offering Engineering & Architecture streams. It is also considered the 5th Engineering College, established in India. UVCE offers admission to the BE, B Arch at UG level and ME, M Arch at the PG level. UVCE is affiliated with Bangalore University. UVCE has NAAC 5 star rating for four consecutive years, which was declared by the NBA (National Board of Accreditation). In addition, It has secured 24th Rank among Top Engineering Colleges by India Today Survey.

  • The B-Tech program in UVCE is available in six streams: Computer Science And Engineering, Electrical And Electronics Engineering, Information Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Civil Engineering. 
  • UVCE Bangalore B Tech admission is based on KCET Valid score, followed by KEA Counselling.
  • Candidates who qualify in KCET have to undergo a state-level counselling process KCET.
  • The final seat allotment in UVCE will be done through counselling based on the candidate's KCET rank, choice of preferences and seat availability.  
  • After the declaration of KCET Results, the college admission authority will release the UVCE Bangalore KCET Cut off list.
  • To be eligible for admission, the Candidate's KCET Rank must be equivalent to UVCE's cut-off criteria.
  • During KCET Counselling, applicants must enter UVCE as their preferred college and also, candidates must choose the preferred branch according to the ranking.
  • If candidates' rank is equivalent to the UVCE KCET Cut off, they will be allotted a seat during the KCET seat allotment process.
  • B Tech cut off in UVCE vary for each different branch. Thus applicants must make sure of the cut-off criteria before choosing the branch.
