Symbiosis Entrance Exam 2025 Postponed to 4th June: All You Need to Know

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has announced a new exam date for the Symbiosis Entrance Test 2025 (SET) and Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE 2025). The exam was scheduled to be conducted on May 11, 2025. Still, because of the troubled situation amongst India's western border, the university decided to postpone the examination in order to ensure the safety of the students who would have to travel.

As per the rescheduled, The SET and SITEEE exams will now take place on Wednesday, 4th of June 2025. Symbiosis has reassured students that this delay will not impact student's admission opportunities or result evaluation.

The university has advised candidates that they will likely need to download a new admit card for the revised exam. The good news is that the new admit card will provide relevant details, including the exam city, centre, and any other relevant instructions. The specialist will soon release the admit cards on its official website for both SET 2025 and SITEEE 2025.

Note:  Do NOT carry the old admit card that was issued for the May 11 examination. It will NOT be an appropriate entry for June 4.

What was the reason for the postponement of the SET/SITEEE exam 2025?

Based on recent tensions raised with India's western border, the decision was made to reschedule the SET/SITEEE. The university is taking extra precautions as this is an important test for students, staff, and members of the exam centre. This is a show of Symbiosis' commitment to student welfare and the commitment to an equitable admission process.

Change in Symbiosis Entrance Exam Result Release Date 2025

The SET and SITEEE 2025 Result was previously set to be declared on 22nd May 2025 but now it has been postponed due to the revised examination schedule. However, the university has not announced the new date for the result. But it is anticipated to be released after the conclusion of the exam. Symbiosis assures that the result evaluation process will be fair enough and it doesn't affect on candidates.

2. Institute Wise Shortlisting

  • Each Symbiosis institute, which accepts the SET/SITEEE scores, will publish its own cutoff marks.
  • If your score matches or exceeds the SITEEE cutoff 2025, you will then be shortlisted to proceed to the next stage.
  • You must keep in mind that there are differences in cutoff marks for different programmes and institutes.
  • Only shortlisted applicants will be considered for further admission process.

3. Register Separately for Each Course

  • You will have to register separately for every Symbiosis Institute and Course you are interested in, even if you applied for SET/SITEEE.
  • For example, if you want to join BBA at SCMS BBA or B.Tech at SIT,  you will need to complete the specific application for that Institute and pay the necessary registration fee too.
  • Pay close attention to this step. If you miss registering for a course you want to study you won't be considered for admission into it.

4. Attend PI-WAT or Studio Test

  • If you have been shortlisted, the next step is to apply for the PI-WAT (Personal Interaction and Written Ability Test) or Studio Test (in the case of all Media and Communication programmes).
  • Depending on the Institute you are attending the PI-WAT could happen both online or offline.

5. Final Merit List

Following the WAT and Personal Interview, the Institute will compile a final merit list reflecting:

  • Your score from the SET/SITEEE 2025.
  • Your assessment of the PI-WAT or Studio test.
  • Past academic performance.
  • Any other relevant academic records.

The final list will be available on the official websites of each Symbiosis institute.

6. Admission offer and payment of fee

If your name is on the merit list, You will receive the official admission offer from the Institute. You will then have to accept this offer and pay the admission fee within the stipulated time. If you do not do this, you may lose your seat.
