MET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must make sure to satisfy the Manipal B Tech Eligibility Criteria before filling up the application form.

  • Candidates must have passed the 12th or equivalent from a recognized board. In addition, candidates must have studied Physics, Mathematics and English as main subjects.
  • One optional subject, either Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subject, is needed.
  • Candidates are required to score an aggregate of a minimum 50% in Physics, Mathematics and one optional subject.
  • Students studying Class 12 in the 2025- 2026 academic year are also eligible to apply.
  • Only candidates meeting the requirements can take the MET 2026 exam and participate in counselling and seat allotment.

How to apply for Manipal MET 2026

The MET 2026 application is available online on the official website. Those who plan to take the exams can go through the following steps:

Step 1 – MET 2026 Online Registration: Go to the MET official website and click on the link to register. Enter valid email ID and mobile number. After that, create a password, which will be used for login.

Step 2 – Fill Application Form: Enter your personal details, academic details, and contact details like name, date of birth, names of your parents, address and more. Double-check details to ensure they are correct.

Step 3 – Select Course and Exam Centre: Select the course and the centre to appear for the MET.

Step 4 – Review Details: Review all filled details again, as they cannot be edited once submitted.

Step 5 – Payment of Application Fee: Pay the MET 2026 application fees through online payment: using debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI, PayTM or more. The fees is approx INR 2000.

Step 6 – Upload documents: Upload the passport-size photo and signature, using the correct format.

Step 7 - Form Submission: Submit before the last date. Late applications will not be accepted.

MET 2026 Exam Pattern

The Manipal B Tech Entrance Exam Pattern 2026 comprises Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English, alongside General Aptitude. It is important for candidates who are appearing for MET 2026 to be aware of the exam structure before preparing for it so that they can utilize their time wisely, and marks will be given based on the portion of the exam. The Manipal Entrance Test 2026 will be conducted in an online Computer-based/internet mode. It will consist of 200 Multiple-choice Questions; each correct answer will carry +4 marks, and each incorrect answer -1 mark from the same. Thus, the total duration of the MET 2026 exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The total marks of the MET 2025 exam would be 800.
