Madras Institute of Technology Cut off

Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai, was started in 1949. MIT functions with Anna University affiliation and with approvals from AICTE. Besides, NAAC accredits MIT Chennai with an 'A' Grade. MIT has received an award from the Indian Society of Technical Education. In 1999, it received an award for Best Overall Performance Category. MIT offers admission to the UG and PG Courses in Engineering streams. It offers B Tech & M Tech in various streams. In addition, the MSc course is also available at the PG level.

• Madras Institute B Tech admission is granted based on 10+2 merit followed by TNEA Counselling.  
• Following the announcement of 10+2 Results, candidates have to register online for TNEA counseling based on their intermediate results.
• Later, the counseling authority will publish the TNEA Merit List. The preparation of the merit list will be done by compiling 10+2 aggregate marks. The authority will assign the TNEA rank for each registered individual through the merit list.
• Once the TNEA Counselling process begins, MIT will publish their B Tech cut-off rank.
• The selection criteria in MIT, Chennai, are based on the cutoff scores. Still, those rankings will keep varying yearly, and the candidate must look for the updated list. 
• Whereas the final seat allotment will be done through TNEA Counselling. Candidates wishing to secure B Tech admission seats must meet the Madras Institute TNEA Cut-off criteria.
• The candidate's TNEA Merit rank must be equivalent to the college's cut-off criteria. Then there will be a high chance of securing admission seats.
