Kerala University is a state university in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala's capital city. Engineering, Architecture, Law, Management, Basic Sciences, Arts, Commerce, and Education are among the courses available at the University. More than 150 Colleges are affiliated with Kerala University. 60 Colleges are Arts & Sciences, out of 150. It offers more than 800 courses in 13 different streams. The University has been ranked on several platforms. NIRF ranked Kerala University in 23rd Position at the National level among Top Indian Universities. Kerala University was ranked 1001+ in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings on a global scale. Besides, the University is also featured on the ranking list of Outlook ICARE, QS BRICS Ranking (Asia, India), THE Asia Ranking.

NAAC Recognizes the Kerala University with an "A" Grade. Outlook-ICARE has named the University one of India's finest universities. In 2019, it was ranked 56th in the Outlook I-CARE TOP 100 rankings, with a score of 74.03, narrowly edging out Mahatma Gandhi University.
