Eligibility Criteria for B Pharm Admission in Tamil Nadu

Academic Qualification: Candidates who wish to get admission for B Pharm admission in Tamil Nadu Pharmacy Colleges/Universities, must full-fill the required eligibility criteria which is prescribed under concerned admission authority. Tamil Nadu B Pharm Eligibility requirements are, candidates shall have passed in 10+2 examination with minimum 50% aggregate score in science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics as main subjects) from any recognized board. Whereas, candidates belonging to reserved category (BC) can secure minimum 45% aggregate score in qualified examination and candidates belonging to SC/ST/SCA/DNC/MBC Category can secure minimum 40% aggregate score.

Domicile Rules: Residents of Tamil Nadu State or the candidates who have studied class 8th to class 12th in Tamil Nadu state are eligible to secure admission for B Pharm through TNEA Counselling. Also, such candidates can claim state government reservation policies, fees concession and eligible to access scholarship facility.

Also, candidates who have studied class 8th to 12th from other than Tamil Nadu State are also eligible to apply only if their parents are residents/natives of Tamil Nadu. Such candidates should submit the Nativity Certificate at the time of admission process.

Application Process for B Pharm Admission in Tamil Nadu

Candidates who meet the above eligibility criteria are eligible to submit the application form for Tamil Nadu B Pharm Admission. In order to secure admission in Tamil Nadu Pharmacy Colleges, candidates required to register for TNEA Counselling by applying the application form through online mode. Anna University releases the application forms on its official website in online mode. Check out the following steps in order to fill application form for TNEA Counselling.

Step 1: At first, candidates required to visit the official website of TNEA. Then, click on “online registration” link.

Step 2: Candidates required to register themselves by entering the required details in order to create login credentials (User ID & Password).

Step 3: Upon successful registration, candidates required to login by using their User ID & Password in order to fill up the application form.

Step 4: In next step, candidates should proceed to fill the application form by entering all the relevant details such as academic, personal and other details which has mentioned in the form

Step 5: After filling it up completely, candidates need to click on “Preview” option in order to check the details which has been filled in the form.

Step 6: Candidates required to upload the scanned images of the educational documents, passport size photo along with signature in a prescribed format.

Step 7: Then, pay the required application fees according to the category wise. TNEA application form fees costs INR 500 for general category and INR 250 for reserved category

Step 8: Later, submit the application form and candidates are advised to take the print out of same and should keep it for future reference.

Selection Process for B Pharm Admission in Tamil Nadu

Selection of the candidates for B Pharm admission in Tamil Nadu Pharmacy Colleges will be done through 10+2 academic followed by TNEA Counselling. Once the TNEA application process gets complete, concerned admission authority will publish the merit list/rank list of the eligible candidates. TNEA Merit List will be prepared based on the candidates score acquired in 10+2 examination.

  • Candidates whose name concluded in the merit list can take part in TNEA counselling-document verification round and can proceed to fill up the choices in option entry form and thereafter, seat allotment process will be held.
  • In reputed Tamil Nadu deemed universities, selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of candidates score obtained in University-Level Entrance Test.
