Established in the silver jubilee year of India's independence, the college name was Silver Jubilee Government Degree College Kurnool. SJGDC is affiliated with the state university Rayalaseema University, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The institute got its approval from University Grant Commission (UGC), New Delhi, and has been accredited grade "A" by NAAC. • The admission in SJGDC is based on the marks scored in the entrance exam SET.
• For admission in B.A., B.Sc, and B.Com courses, SJGDC candidates must have passed 10+2 in relevant fields from any recognized board of education.
• The final evaluation of candidates will be based on the marks scored in the entrance exam SET.
• Selected candidates will be called for the counselling process on the institute campus.
• For admission in B.A., B.Sc, and B.Com courses, SJGDC offers an offline mode of application.
• Candidates are required to visit the institute's campus and collect the instruction booklet from the admission office. The booklet contains an original and duplicate ICR form, two envelopes, and an acknowledgement card.
• Candidates are further required to fill up the form, attach copies of necessary documents and two envelopes with stamps, and send them to the institute.
