RTC Institute of Technology (RTCIT) was started in 2008 by GAV SAMITI, a 36 years old trust with 20 intermediate degrees, schools, and B.Ed. Colleges in the state. The institute is affiliated with Ranchi University, Ranchi, and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The institute's main aim is to become famous for providing technical education like B.Tech in the engineering field.

  • The institute is on NH 33, which is 1.75 km from Ormanjhi BlockChowk on Sikidri road and 20 km from the capital city Ranchi.
  • To develop the students with practical knowledge, they are given training in government sectors like Martin, Usha, CCL, HEC, and SAIL.
  • The institute covers 20 acres of land, having basic facilities like hostel, classrooms, cafeteria, auditorium, library, laboratory, computer labs, sports, and medical.
  • The library covers 500 sq. meters area and has about 17000 magazines, books, international and national journals for all the departments.

The college works with companies like IBM, NIIT, SAIL, Usha Martin, HEC, MECON Ltd, BSNL, etc.
