Pune University, also known as Savitribai Phule Pune University, was established in the year 1949 in Pune city of Maharashtra state.  The university is accredited by NAAC and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. The university is named after Savitribai Phule and is recognized by the University Grants Commission.

Pune University admission process:

Savitribai Phule Pune University offers degrees in more than 52 departments and institutes on campus and off campus. Each department has its authorization requirements, which depend on the specialization of the course. The university also conducts its entrance examinations for specific programs. Admission to all classes will be based on the entrance exam followed by the interview in the University/previous academic performance.

What is qualification needed for admission in M Com mathematics?

In order to be accepted into M Com Mathematics at Pune University, you need to have a B Com or similar stream from an UGC accredited institution. The minimum qualifying marks should be above 50%.

How to join for BSc at SPPU?

The mode of SPPU admission process is online. Candidates must visit the university's admission portal to apply online. Candidates required to appear for entrance exam known as OEE (Online Entrance Exam) conducted by SPPU. Selection is based on the 10+2 merit and entrance exam marks. Candidates will need to complete an application, upload the supporting documents, and wait until the merit list is released to determine their acceptance status.

I want direct admission for engineering.

If you are looking for direct admission, you can apply for SPPU-affiliated Private Engineering Colleges like MIT WPU, Pimpiri Chinchwad College and many more. Whereas, Government Colleges like College of Engineering Pune (COEP) don't offer direct admission. Here, admission is strictly based on MHT CET or JEE Main merit rank, followed by CAP Counselling. Even if you are looking for management seats, appearing in either MHT CET or JEE Main is mandatory, although you don't satisfy the cutoff.

I belong to the OBC Category. Can I get admission through a score of the 78th percentile in MHT CET? For which colleges and branches can I apply?

Since you have scored 78th percentile in MHT-CET and you belong to the OBC category, chances for admission at SPPU-affiliated colleges are high, especially in branches such as ECE, E&TC, or IT. However, top-ranked colleges such as the College of Engineering, Pune, require a percentile above 95–98, usually even for the OBC category. However, mid-tier colleges such as Sinhgad College, Dhole Patil College, or D.Y. Patil College may accept a score of 78 percentile.
