Kurnool Medical College

Kurnool Medical College (KMC) started in 1956 to provide a quality management education. They wanted to make sure people in the Rayalaseema area of Andhra Pradesh could learn medicine. It is the third medical college in the state and is affiliated with Sri Venkateshwara University. The Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Medical Council of India gave its approval. The college offers MBBS, MD, and MS at the UG and PG levels.

The college is associated with Kurnool Government General Hospital. Right now, the hospital sees about 3000 patients every day from Kurnool and nearby areas, even from Telangana and Karnataka. Despite having 1,150 beds, there are only 300 doctors, and many buildings need repairs. They urgently need new, modern buildings. Once the upgrades are done, Kurnool Government General Hospital will be the biggest healthcare center in Andhra Pradesh.
