J.C. Bose University of Science & Technology

J.C. Bose University of Science & Technology (formerly YMCA University School of Science & Technology) was established in 2009 by the Haryana State Legislative Act of 2009. It is a Haryana state government university accredited by NAAC with an "A" Grade. It was initially started as a YMCA institute Of Engineering with merely 120 students. In 2018, the University got its name linked to great scientist Jagdish Chandra Bose by the State Government under a state legislative act. It was established as a joint council with the state government. The vision was to impart good technical education on a German pattern and produce efficient personnel in engineering to meet the market's demands.

JC Bose University courses include undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various disciplines, such as Engineering, Management, Arts, Commerce, Computer Applications, Science, and Business administration. The flagship course is B Tech, and the course selection is made using JEE Mains score. The annual fees for the B.Tech course are Rs. 102000. The J C Bose University YMCA B. Tech is offered in more than 10 specializations. The minimum criterion is 10+2, with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects across different streams. In addition, a candidate should have secured 45% marks in the general category. The major criterion is minimum marks with JEE Mains score. The final seat allotment is done after HSTES counseling. Students whose JEE Main rank is identical to the J C Bose YMCA Cut off will be able to acquire a seat. The course also offers lateral entry to admissions to the engineering course.
