Mr. Uday Ghatge started the Gwalior Institute of Technology and Science (GITS) in the year 1989. The institute offers education in the management and engineering field and transforms the students into industrial experts. The institute offers courses like B.E in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, IT Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering, M.Tech in Computer Technology and Applications, Control System, Embedded System, and VLSI Design and Computer Science, B.Com, BBA and MBA.

• The interested candidates for admissions have to clear national-level entrance exams like JEE Main, GATE, CAT, MAT, and XAT as per category reservation.
• The institute has basic facilities like classrooms, laboratories, sports, computer labs, hostel, auditorium, library, cafeteria, and medical within the campus to satisfy the needs.
• The library has 30000 books for all the departments with access to education portals to study well. The computer labs have Redhat Linux and Windows 2000 servers as per current industrial requirements.

VIRASAT, ABHIVYAKTI, UDGOSH, FASHION SHOW, Manipuri Dance, North East Fest are some of the extra-curricular activities encouraged in the college. The hostel has well-maintained rooms with attached bathrooms and a canteen providing tasty food with a fee of INR 48k per annum.

Placement:

Training and Placement cell conducts training activities to prepare the students as per corporate needs. Many reputed companies and organizations visit the college for campus recruitment based on the talents required in the industries. The highest salary offered to the students is INR 9 LPA, and the average package paid is around INR 3 LPA based on the performance in the interview. Coca Cola, Nokia, Dabur India Ltd., Zensar, Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC), Cipla Limited, Airtel, Tech Mahindra, Syntel, HCL Technologies, Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), TCS, HDFC Bank, and Accenture, etc. are the companies visiting the campus annually.
