Government Siddha Medical College is very unique and finest institute in the state of Tamil Nadu offering stimulating and enriching Indian medical education. This institute was proposed in the year 1964 on 30^th November and are on the verge of golden Jubilee celebration.

• This college is affiliated by the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University and got recognized by the CCIM, New Delhi. The vision of this college is to bring out the awareness from the people about the Indian medicines and make them understand the possibilities of the Indian Medicines crafted from the ancient time.

• Government Siddha Medical College have been offering studies in a unique medicinal field which was only practised in Tamil Nadu. The courses are provided at UG and PG level in which there are 6 departments under each.
• The name of course offers is BSMS which means Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and surgery as under-graduate course and MD course at the post-graduation level.
• Government Siddha Medical College admission committee have reserved 100 seats for BSMS, 10 for Maruthuvam, Gunapadam, Sirappu Maruthuvam etc.
