GNIOT Institute of Management Admission Process

Admission to the PGDM course at GNIOT is based on entrance exams. However, there are other eligibility criteria along with the entrance exam scores. The candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria are qualified to appear in the GAT, i.e., GIMS Aptitude Test. It is a test of 45 Mins and contains questions related to Mathematical Skills, Language comprehension, Critical Reasoning & Decision-Making Skills.

Eligibility Criteria

• A bachelor's degree in any discipline as recognized by UGC, under the 10+2+3 system, with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Candidates appearing in the final year are also eligible to apply, provided they complete all formalities of examinations before 30th July and furnish before 30th September, which serves as proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria.
• Candidates must score satisfactory marks in the competitive exam per AICTE requirements – CMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ GMAT.

Selection Criteria

A special point to note is that this entrance test will be optional for the students who have scored more than 60 percentiles in CMAT/CAT/XAT/ GMAT or above 75 in MAT. But, if the candidate wants to avail GNOIT scholarship, then appearing in GAT is mandatory, and it will be mandatory for the candidate to appear for all the other stages of the selection process. Thus, students who don't satisfy the cut-off norms must appear in the GNIOT Entrance Exam.

• The students who qualify for GAT, CMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ MAT, or GMAT will be invited for the next stage of Selection, i.e., Group Discussion on the campus or via Zoom Platform.
• Students who qualify for Group Discussion will be eligible for the next round. The next round is the Essay Round (Written)

PERSONAL INTERVIEW/PRESENTATION/ESSAY ROUND

1. GIMS Shakti Scholarship is made available for female students only with consistent academic performance of 55% throughout X, XII, and Graduation. The eligible students will get a scholarship of Rs. 25,000 on tuition fees.

2. Based on Various Quota: Sports Quota: National achievement in any sports- Rs. 20,000/- on tuition fee. Armed Forces/Paramilitary Forces/Police Personnel family background Rs.20,000/- on tuition fee.
3. Based on Academic Record: The scholarship will be offered based on the merit record of the student in X, XII, and Graduation. For example, if the student has scored 65% throughout X, XII, and Graduation, they are eligible for a scholarship of Rs. 20,000 on the tuition fee.
