Aligarh Muslim University Distance Education Admission
They provide distance/online UG, PG diploma, and certificate courses. Admission to these programs is based on the candidate's academic performance. Many individuals cannot attend regular in-person classes due to work commitments, financial constraints, or social obligations. Distance education allows them to access education and learn at their own pace.
The eligibility criteria for UG courses require candidates to have finished their 10+2/HSC education or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university. For MA and M.Com programs, a UG degree with a least of 50% aggregate marks is required. Bcom: Students who completed their 10+2 studies in the commerce stream are qualified for the distance learning program in Commerce (BCom). Students must first fulfil the criteria to enrol in this three-year undergraduate program.
BA: A bachelor's degree in the arts broadens your employment opportunities. Candidates with a grade point average of 50% to 55% and a degree from a comparable field in the 12th grade may apply for this course.
BSc: A Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in chemistry, biology, zoology, mathematics, and physics is available through distance learning. The duration of this undergraduate BSc program is three years. However, students have the flexibility to complete the course within 3 years. Applicants shall have passed 10+2 in any science stream.
BLIS: A bachelor's degree with a minimum overall average of 50% is required for admission to the BLIS program, as is a bachelor's degree with a one-year library science diploma or a bachelor's degree with at least two years of experience working in a library or information centre (45% for candidates in the SC/ST/OBC/PH categories).
MA: Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in the relevant field or a related discipline from a recognized university or institution. Typically, candidates must have a certain minimum percentage of marks in their bachelor's degree, which can vary depending on the specific MA program. This percentage requirement is often around 50%, but it can differ, so check the official AMU website for the exact details.
M.Com: Masters in Commerce programs are offered through the AMU Center for Distance Education. Candidates must have a BCom or an equivalent degree with at least a 50% average to be eligible to enrol in the MCom program. Based on their scores, the University will compile a list of students who performed well on their qualifying examinations.
PGDM: It is a two-year correspondence PGDM program in management. Students can learn about the demands of the industry and assist management aspirants in acquiring practical hard skills and soft skills to become management professionals prepared for the workplace through this distance learning program. This degree program is open to students who have completed their BBA/ B Com or any equivalent from an accredited institution with a least score of 50%.
