GMR Varalakshmi Foundation established the GMR Institute of Technology in 1997. GMRIT provides the aspirant with high-quality technical education. GMR Institute of Technology Courses and Fee Structure

GMRIT provides a four-year Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) curriculum in eight fields. Admission decisions are based on a student's merit and EAMCET results. The GMRIT Engineering Programs are designed to train students for employment at the cutting edge of engineering research, education, and design—or for careers in other fields where they may use their data analysis skills and expertise. At the PG level, the college offers M Tech in 7 disciplines.

GMR Institute of Technology fees vary for Convenor Quota (Category A) and Management Quota (Category B). The general fees for B Tech in GMRIT are approximately INR 66k per annum. Additionally, applicants must pay insurance fees of INR 100/-. In contrast, the M Tech fees per annum are approx. INR 45,000. GMR Institute of Technology Management Quota fees will be higher than general fees.

At GMR Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh, students receive an education that goes beyond the classroom and includes cultural and practical learning. Graduates at GMRIT are prepared for life as professional engineers and well-rounded, accountable, and receptive members of society. GMRIT offers admission under two categories. One is the convenor quota, and the other one is the management quota.

70% of seat intake for Convenor Quota is based on the common entrance test, while the seat allotment will be done through counseling administrated by APSCHE. The remaining 30% of seat intake is for Management Quota in GMR Institute of Technology, commonly known as Category "B" Admission Process.

GMRIT provides a four-year Bachelor of Technology B Tech program in eight main fields. The applicant's performance in the AP-EAMCET is considered while determining admission to the B. Tech course.

• Candidates shall have passed their HSC/10+2 with an average of 45% in the science stream. Qualified students must sit for AP EAMCET conducted by APSCHE.
• Later, they must participate in the AP EAMCET (AP EAPCET) counseling rounds. For 70% of seats, admission will be made through the counseling process.
• Students who wish to get admission under the convenor quota must meet the GMR Institute of Technology Cut off requirements.
• Suppose students who scored below the cutoff criterion can opt for Category B admission that is, management quota.
• Those who have completed a Diploma program may apply for the GMRIT B. Tech (Lateral Entry) course. Such applicants must appear for AP ECET Entrance Exam.

MTech programs in seven specialized engineering fields are available at GMRIT. Students are admitted through a common counseling window based on their GATE/AP PGECET scores for category "A" Convenor.

• Candidates for this course must have a B.E./B. Tech in the pertinent or a closely related field with a minimum grade point average of 50%.

• 70% of seats are allotted for students applying based on GATE or AP PGECET. The counseling authority will decide the seat allotment.
• 30% of seats will be filled according to the guidelines specified by APSCHE.

GMR Institute of Technology Hostel

At GMRIT, more than 1000 residents currently live in the hostel. It offers separate housing for men and women. The Administrative Officer in charge of the two hostels keeps order among the residents while enabling the staff to carry out their tasks through careful observation and direction. GMRIT Hostel fees are high at 86000/- per year.

Female Hostel

There are two blocks in the women's hostel, "Nagavali" and "Vamsadhara," each of which can accommodate 444 students.

Boys' Hostel

With five blocks named "Vindhya," "Satpura," "Aravali," "Nilgiri," and "Himalaya," the men's hostel can accommodate 1263 students.
