National Institute of science and Technology Fees Structure

National Institute of Science and Technology, commonly known as NIST, is a group of academicians who establishes it. In 1996 the institute started operating and was promoted by SM Charitable Educational Trust. Dr. Sukant K Mohapatra and Ms. Sanjeeta Mohapatra inaugurated the trust and were founded to make this a world-class institute. NIST is a private institute approved by AICTE and prides itself on the prestigious NAAC accreditation. Institute offers admission to B.Tech, B.Sc., B.Com, M.Tech, MBA, M.Sc., MCA, and PGDM under various specializations. The institute's courses are affiliated with Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha. Under Berhampur University and southern Odisha, NIST is the first NRI educational venture and the first engineering college in Odisha.

• In 2016, among all engineering colleges under BPUT, NIST was ranked 1st, while by NIRF, the MHRD Government of India is 69th.

• Travel Grant Scholarship
• Merit Scholarship
• Research Assistantship Scholarship
• Shiv Shankar Bisoi Scholarship: the Scholarship amount is INR 15000.
• Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme: The full tuition fee waiver is INR 4.5 lakhs.
• M. Tech Scholarship
• Book Grant Scholarship: Per Semester, two students from MBA, three MCA students, and 25 students of B.Tech can avail themselves of this scholarship. The scholarship amount will be INR 2500.
• Economic Hardship Scholarship: On an annual basis, nearly 3 Students from MCA, 2 Students of MBA, and 30 students from B.Tech will be awarded this scholarship. The scholarship amount will be INR 18,000 per annum.

National Institute of Science and Technology Hostel

National Institute of Science and Technology Hostel comprises several hostel blocks for females and males. The capacity of the hostel is 2000 students. Each hostel block includes an administrative office, caretaker, separate mess, and hostel superintendent. In addition, they have their extra-curricular activities conducting clubs.
