Silicon Institute of Technology (SIT) was established in the year 2000 to educate students in professional ethics, technological skills, and human values to attain excellence in technical research and education. The Institute has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in New Delhi and is affiliated with the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) in Rourkela.
