About KIIT Entrance Exam (KIITEE)

The KIIT Entrance Exam (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Exam) is held annually to prepare a merit list for admission to most UG and PG Courses. The applicants who score equivalent to the KIITEE Cut off will be called for counseling rounds held by the University. The seats are allocated accordingly.

  • According to the KIITEE Exam Pattern, there will be 150 MCQ questions with three marks. The duration of the KIIT Exam is 2.5 hours. One mark will be removed for each wrong answer.
  • KIITEE Registration will usually begin in May. While the KIITEE Registration Last Date will be in June/July. Soon after the conclusion of registration KIITEE admit card will be released.
  • On the admit cards, Kalinga University Exam Date and timings will be stipulated.

KIIT University UG Admission

Besides the B.Tech course, KIIT offers admission to other relevant UG courses like BBA, BCA, BA LLB, B.Sc LLB, B.Com, B.Des, etc. The KIIT admission process to all these UG Courses is similar, including passing class 10+2 from a recognized board and a minimum of 60% marks.   • The applicants seeking admission to KIIT BCA courses shall have passed their class 10+2 with qualifying marks and a minimum of 50% in Mathematics. Moreover, they need to take the KIITEE exam followed by counseling.
  • The KIIT BBA Admissions are based on the scores obtained in class 10+2 along with relevant subjects like Mathematics, Economics, Business Mathematics, or Statistics. The eligible candidates will then have to take the KIITEE exam and participate in the KIIT admission counseling process.
  • Admission to B.Sc courses requires a minimum of 50% marks in class 10+2 and legit scores from KIITEE.
  • The KIIT B.Arch Admission is based on the combined score obtained in class 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks in relevant subjects like mathematics. Moreover, the qualifying exam for B.Arch will be NATA.

KIIT University MBA Admission

KIIT Eligibility Criteria for MBA

The applicants willing to seek admission to Kalinga University MBA shall have passed their respective class 10+2 from a recognized board in relevant disciplines, including Economics, Mathematics, etc. Also, they should have passed their undergraduate degree qualifying exams from relevant trades with a minimum of at least 50% marks.

Moreover, the eligible candidates are required to take the KIIT MBA Entrance Exam. The final merit list will be prepared after the counseling process that the University itself will hold.

It is important to note that the students who have already taken management exams like CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT will be exempted from taking the KIITEE exam for admission to KSOM, known as the Kalinga University's KIIT School Of Management.

KIIT Law Admission

The applicants seeking admission in KIIT Law courses are required to fulfill specific eligibility criteria. However, it is essential to note that KIIT provides a plethora of disciplines to choose from in a law course. Hence, the candidates are suggested to analyze their application carefully before submission.

  • Students must pass class 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks to qualify for KIIT University BBA LLB and BSc LLB Courses.
  • To be eligible for the PG Law program LLM, Applicants shall have passed their qualifying undergraduate examinations from the relevant degrees, including BA LLB, BBA LLB, and B.Sc LLB, with at least 55% mark in the examinations.

KIIT PG Admissions

The PG programs are available in different disciplines such as Technology, Computer Application, Business Management, and Administration, Public Health, Medical Administration, Law, Arts, Languages, etc.

The degrees provided by the KIIT include MCA, MPH, M.Tech, MHA, M. Des, MA, MD, MS, MDS, etc. The admissions to all these courses are made based on scores obtained in qualifying undergraduate degrees and the entrance tests conducted by the University. The KIIT PG Admission eligibility criteria are

  • Interested candidates looking forward to admission to Kalinga University MCA must pass their class 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks in relevant subjects, including mathematics. Moreover, they should have passed their undergraduate qualifying exam with at least 50% marks. It will be followed by the KIIT MCA Entrance Exam, known as the KIITEE, and university counseling.
  • The admission to the MD and MS courses for the medical aspirants will be made based on the scores obtained by the applicant in their UG MBBS degrees. Moreover, the application process will be solely based on the NEET PG scores.
  • The University's engineering 2-year programs at the postgraduate level include 17 specializations. The KIIT M.Tech Admission includes the basic eligibility of possessing a Bachelor's Degree in B.Tech/ MCA in a relevant discipline along with an authentic KIITEE or GATE score. The counseling will follow this.
  • The applicants with their qualifying Bachelor's Degree in Science & Technology, Medicine, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Arts, etc. can apply for KIIT University M.Sc programs in several specializations. First, the eligible candidates have to take the KIITEE exam, followed by Counselling.
  • The University offers admission in MA courses in specific specializations, including economics, English, yoga, and sociology, to applicants with a bachelor's degree. Moreover, these candidates must take the KIITEE exam to qualify for counseling rounds.

KIIT Ph.D. Admission

The applicants who have secured a good rank in UGC-NET and possess a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from a well-known University can apply for post-doctoral programs at KIIT University. The Kalinga University Ph.D. The admission process will include an entrance exam like KIITEE followed by Personal Interviews conducted by the admission committee.

The University offers two types of programs:

Full-Time Program- The full-time applicants on the university campus will be eligible for a 5 year long Ph.D. program along with the university-sponsored stipends.

Working Professional Ph.D.- Candidates who wish to pursue Ph.D. with their jobs can avail themselves of this opportunity to earn a Ph.D. while working. However, these applicants will be required to self-sponsor their degrees as no stipends will be provided.

KIIT Application Process is as follows

  • The students shall fill out the Kalinga University application on the official KIIT website.
  • The applicants shall provide the right academic and personal details and a copy of the required documents. For example, it might include class 10+2 mark sheets, degree certificates, Aadhar cards, photographs, character certificates, domiciles, etc.
  • Then, they shall sign up for the KIITEE Entrance Exam for their respective courses. Moreover, if they have valid scores from CAT, GMAT, and UGC NET exams, they can also submit them.
  • The KIIT application fee must be paid only during Counselling through DD.

B-Tech is a four-year program at the UG level in the engineering stream. The course is available in 15 different specializations, and the minimum criteria is passing the 10+2 board exams in the science stream with PCM subjects as mandatory. Selections are based on KIITEE scores.
