National Institute of science and Technology also known as NIST which is located in Berhampur, Odisha and founded in the year 1996.The College is approved under AICTE ,Accredited to NAAC A and affiliated to BPUT (Biju Patnaik University of Technology).The institute has a desire to impart proficient technical education for aspired students. NIST offers Under Graduate Course in BE/B Tech and Post Graduate Course in ME/M Tech, MCA and Management Course in MBA & PG Diploma.

  • Admissions for BE/B Tech will be based on the Candidates marks obtained in 10+2 Exam and valid rank obtained in JEE Entrance Exam.
  • Admissions for ME/M Tech will be based on the Candidates score obtained in Bachelor’s degree BE/B Tech and Candidates must secure valid score in GATE Entrance Exam.
  • Candidates who are qualified in bachelor’s degree BCA with minimum aggregate marks are eligible to get admission for MCA. Selection of the Candidates will be based on the Merit in qualified examination.
  • Minimum Eligibility Criteria for MBA Admission is, Candidates must be graduated in bachelor’s degree and selection of the candidates will be done according to the score obtained in OJEE /MAT Entrance Exam.
  • Admissions for PGDM will be based on the Candidates valid rank obtained in MAT/CAT/ATMA/XAT or Odisha JEE Entrance Exam.

NIST BE/B Tech Admission Process

National Institute of science and Technology offers Under Graduate Course BE /B Tech in 8 Specializations and the duration of the course will be 4 years. Candidates who are passed in 10+2 Examination with minimum aggregate marks are eligible to take admission. Selection of the Candidates will be based on the JEE Main Entrance Exam/OJEE Score. Candidates who are looking to take admission for BE/B Tech Lateral Entry must be qualified in Diploma with minimum aggregate marks.

NIST ME/M Tech Admission Process

National Institute of science and Technology offers Post Graduate Course ME/M Tech in 6 Specializations for the duration of 2 years. Candidates must be qualified in bachelor’s degree with minimum 60% aggregate marks in BE/B Tech and must secure valid score in OJEE/GATE Entrance Exam. Priority will be given for GATE secured candidates. The Total Intake is 18 Seats for each specialization.

National Institute of science and Technology offers Post Graduate Course MCA for the duration of 3 years. Candidates must be qualified in bachelor’s degree BCA with minimum aggregate marks. Selection of the Candidates will be done according to the scores obtained in OJEE Entrance Exam which will be organized by Odisha Government.

Institute also offers MBA Post Graduate Course for the duration of 2 years. Candidates who are looking to take admission for MBA Course must be qualified in bachelor’s degree in any stream and must appear for entrance exam to get qualify for admission. Selection of the eligible candidates must secure valid score in OJEE or Mat Entrance Exam

NIST offers a full-time MBA for a total of 2 years’ duration. The institute offers specialization in general management, finance, marketing and human resource management. National Institute of science and Technology Admission requirement includes the candidate should’ve pursued a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Also, the candidate should’ve appeared for any of the entrance test such as OJEE. Although, the national-level exams are also accepted such as the MAT/CAT, etc. The candidates are selected, as per the scores secured. The application forms are available at the NIST portal. The admission fee is charged at INR 500 to be paid via DD.

I have opted BE in CSE Stream and currently am pursuing 3rd year I like to say admission fee over here is actually average and I can reasonable too. National Institute of science and Technology admissions for BE will be given on the basis of entrance exam score actually I took admission on the basis of JEE Main Entrance Exam.

So, candidates passed in 10+2 and with graduation degree with mathematics as compulsory subject will be eligible and can seek National Institute of science and Technology admissions to MCA.

Under MBA there are few specialisations offered which includes Finance, Human Resource and Marketing. Candidates interested to apply need to have minimum aggregate in graduation and should have scored in entrance on basis of that National Institute of science and Technology MBA admissions are granted.

National Institute of Science and Technology admission criteria for students includes qualifying of JEE Mains and 12th academics. 70% of the seats are reserved for JEE Main of the same state, 15% of seats for JEE Main students of other state and 15% for NRI Sponsored.

Hi,

  • The basic admissions criteria for MBA in this institute are through entrance exam like CAT, XAT, and MAT scores.
  • If the candidates have failed to attend these entrance exams they might opt for direct admissions. Candidates who opt for direct admissions also must have minimum eligibility of bachelor degree or UG degree in any stream to take admissions.
  • The fee structure for MBA is Approx. INR 1650,000 for 2 years but for direct admissions students the fee may increase or vary.
