Dhanalakshmi Engineering College, popularly known as DCE, a part of Dhanalakshmi Education Trust, came into existence in 2001-2002. The institute is famously known for its design and innovative examination. DCE is named the brainchild of Anna University's former professor Dr. V. P Ramamurthi. DCE is named the sister institute for offering professional coaching for Entrance Exams in the year 1993. Dr. V. P. Ramamurthi. Dhanalakshmi College Scholarship 

DCE offers scholarships to the students based on the community they belong to and economically weak students. Candidates avail scholarships in DCE if the students are eligible for them. Students who score 186 and above will get a 100% scholarship, students who get 181 - 185 will get a 75% Tuition fees waiver, students who get 171 - 180 will get 50% Tuition fees waiver, students who get 161 - 170 will get 25% Tuition fees wavier. DCE also provides scholarship on sports quota.

Dhanalakshmi College Hostel Details 

DCE provides hostels at very affordable fees. Candidates who are willing to stay at the campus hostel will have to pay a token amount of which is refundable to book the rooms. The hostel room is well furnished, with 350 rooms in the girl's hostel and 500 rooms in the boy's hostel. DCE has an ideal ambiance, which keeps the hostel and the atmosphere around the hostel at peace. Hostel fees for DCE will be Rs 50,000/- for boys and girls.
