Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) is a private institute that was started to satisfy industries' needs in the year 1984. The institute is recognized by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the Government of India, and the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Technologies (NABL), and is approved by AICTE.

A separate hostel facility is present for male and female students with a reading room, internet room, gym, facilities for indoor games, purified drinking water, and medical officer to ensure the staff and students' safety. The classrooms are spacious with suitable seating arrangements and are equipped with laptops, LCD projectors, and whiteboards to provide a modern learning experience.

Placement:

The placement cell has a record of providing placements to 80-90% of the students in the previous batches. The students are provided with internship opportunities in reputed organizations with reasonable stipends every month. The curriculum of all the institute courses is career-oriented and provides the students with regular industrial exposure. The cell conducts on-campus and off-campus drives, and the eligible students are provided with job opportunities with a good salary package. The students' highest salary is INR 8-9 LPA, and the average is INR 5-6 LPA.
