Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust started the BGS Institute of Technology (BGSIT) in 1974. The institute is recognized by the Government of Karnataka, affiliated to VTU, Belgaum, and is approved by AICTE. The institute offers courses like B.E in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics, Communication Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering M.Tech in Structural Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and VLSI Design Embedded System and MBA.

• The admissions and selection of candidates will be made based on scores in entrance exams like KCET, COMEDK UGET, GATE, KPGCET, and KMAT.
