National Institute of Engineering (NIE) Mysore is prominent Institute that began in 1946 in Mysore. The Institute is providing engineering program at UG and PG level that is B.Tech and M.Tech for Four years and Two years of duration. B.Tech program is having five specializations whereas M.Tech program is having ten specializations made available for the students to choose their desired area of engineering.  The Institute is also offering MCA program for duration of three years at PG level.

NIE Mysore B.Tech Admissions:

NIE is offering B.Tech program with five specializations for a period of four years consisting of eight semesters. The students will be selected for admission to B.Tech program based on the marks obtained in CET or COMEDK exam. Basic eligibility required for applying to B.Tech program is 10+2 or equivalent in Science stream with PCM subjects with minimum marks from a recognized board. The students shortlisted for admissions will have to produce all the original documents for verification procedure to finalize the admissions.

The students seeking admission to the Institute’s B.Tech program will have to apply through the NIE official website or through entrance exam website.

  • 10+2 in Science stream is compulsory to apply for B.Tech.
  • Reservation as per Indian Government norms.
  • Minimum age for applying to B.Tech is 17 years.

NIE Mysore M.Tech Admissions:

NIE Mysore is offering M.Tech program for duration of two years consisting of four semesters with ten specializations for the students to choose from. The students will be finalized for M.Tech admission based on the performance in PGCET exam score. Students with GATE score can also apply for M.Tech program. Minimum eligibility required to apply for M.Tech program is bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology in applicable discipline with 60% marks from a well-known university.

NIE Mysore MCA Admissions:

The Institute is also offering MCA program at postgraduate level for a period of three years. The basic eligibility needed for applying to MCA program is bachelor’s degree in applicable discipline with 60% marks from well-known university. The selection process in the Institute will be based on PGECET exam score.

The students seeking admission for PG programs will have to apply through online mode from the official website of PGCET.

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable stream from UGC recognized university is mandatory for PG programs.
  • Reservation policy is as per Indian Government norms.
  • PGCET score is required for admission to PG programs.
  • Graduation in Statistics or Mathematics or Computer Science or Business Mathematics is required for applying to MCA program.

NIE Mysore Application Process:

The Indian Government releases a notification regarding application forms. The interested students will have to get the application form from the Institute’s website and duly fill it. The application form has to be submitted by paying application fee through debit card or credit card or through net banking. The students will have to retain the print out of submitted application form for further references.

The Students seeking admission in the Institute through management quota will have to get the application form from the institute directly.

KCET or COMEDK is the criteria this institute follow to take admissions. You must first appear for either of this entrance exam to take admissions. The marks score in 10+2 also is important as admissions criteria.

Hi, B.Tech general quota fee for 4 years is INR 76,360 which is split as INR 19,090 per year and the management quota fee for 4 years will be higher than this.

Hi, the fee structure will be quite more than govt. quota when it comes to management quota like entering from govt. quotas the total fee structure for B.Tech is approx. INR 96,300 you getting through management will be much more than this. However the application to the institute for direct admissions will be taken only offline mode so you can visit the campus and ask for further queries.

  • Fee per year at The National Institute of Engineering is split into INR 44363/- per annum.

The National Institute of Engineering B.E. admission criteria is by qualifying in CET/COMED-K.

Students can also take admission through management quota.

For admission under management quota, candidate should have appeared in CET/COMED-K/JEE-MAINS exam.

Management quota seats are also available. 

Candidate shall have passed the 12th exam with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects.
