The Kodaikanal Institute of Technology (KIT) was established in the year 2001 and is sponsored by the Kannammal Educational Trust. This institute has been accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in New Delhi and is affiliated with Anna University in Tamil Nadu. The college's primary goal is to provide them with solid knowledge, wisdom, experience, and training at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels of Engineering and Technology. Currently, KIT offers B Tech at the UG level and M Tech at the PG level.

Undergraduate courses in the domains of engineering and technology are available at KIT College for qualified students. An eligible student must meet all of the standards specified below to be considered suitable.

  1. Admission to the BE/B Tech program at KIT College is conditional on earning a valid TNEA Rank score to be considered.
  2. A minimum of 50 per cent in 10+2 is required for the student to be considered for admission to this institution.
  3. At first, candidates have to apply for TNEA counselling based on their 10+2 grades. After that, only registered candidates will be allotted TNEA rank.
  4. Anna University is responsible for preparing the TNEA merit list by taking consideration of 12th marks.
  5. Moreover, the candidate's TNEA rank should be identical to the Kodaikanal Institute's TNEA cut off norms.
