The Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences (BRIMS) is a Karnataka-based autonomous institution founded in 2000. It is connected with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and is accredited by the Medical Council of India (MCI) (RGUHS). The college provides an undergraduate MBBS program and a postgraduate MD program with various specialities. The college is well-known for providing outstanding medical education to aspiring medicos. NEET UG and NEET PG scores determine admission to MBBS and MD/MS degrees. The annual intake for MBBS is 400 seats. Whereas for MD, 120 seats are available. The college delivers highly experienced individuals who are aware of various methods for disseminating their knowledge.

  • At BRIMS, 85% of seats are reserved under State Quota, and the remaining 15% of seats are applicable for the All India Quota Category.
  • For 85% of seats, the Karnataka State Medical counselling authority will carry the admission forward. For 15% AIQ seats, Counselling will be conducted by MCC.

Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences MBBS Admission

  • An applicant must be 17 years old on or before the 31st of December in the year in which they apply for the program.
  • A candidate must have passed the Indian School Certificate Test or the equivalent higher secondary examination (10+2 Higher) as eligibility for MBBS to BRIMS.
  • For admission to the MBBS at BRIMS, candidates should undertake NEET UG Entrance Exam.
  • Once the NTA has released the NEET scorecard, the student must register for NEET counselling.
  • In Counselling, candidates must fill their preferences and must complete the document verification process.
  • If the student's NEET Rank is identical to the BRIMS NEET Cut off norms, then there is a chance to secure an MBBS admission seat during the seat allotment process.
  • NEET Cut-off rank differs when students take MBBS admission through the Karnataka state quota and for All India quota. Also, the cut-off differs based on category-wise.

Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences MD Admission

Karnataka's NEET counselling process

Students interested in applying for UG or PG admissions at BRIMS must first complete the NEET counselling rounds, which are as follows:

Step 1: Register and log in to your account: To access the Karnataka Counselling rounds, candidates must click on the provided link and select the "online counselling" option. The candidate's NEET rank and their roll number, registration number, and application form must be included.

Step 2: Fill in the blanks with the following information: The Karnataka NEET counselling selections, which comprise the list of colleges, location, college code, courses, and district name, must be completed online by the applicants.
