Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, also known as AKGEC, was established in 1998 and is affiliated with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. AICTE approves the college, and NAAC and NBA also accredit the courses offered by AKGEC. In 2020, the college was ranked 251 for b tech categories by NIRF. The college is considered one of the top private colleges under the affiliation of AKTU. The flagship program of AKGEC is B-Tech. The course is available in multiple specialisations. Amongst them, CSE gets the majority of seats. Primarily, the admissions are based on academic merit and entrance exam scores. Even lateral admissions are offered by the institute.
