KEC offers only a B-Tech/ B.E program for their candidates with five choices of specializations.

  • In KEC, up to 65% of the seat allocation will be made by choosing the candidates who have scored well in their UPSEE exam and participated in the respective counseling process.
  • Whereas 20% seat allocation will be prioritized for the students securing merit scores in JEE main.
  • And the rest 15% of the seats are diversified for Management Quota candidates.
  • The KEC placements are very good and have a major number of recruiters with more than 350 Company associations, 140 Campus opportunities, and 500+ total offers given by the KEC authorities.

Selection Criteria of candidates in KEC

The candidates' complete selection process is easily simplified under three ways-- Management Quota, UPSEE Counselling, and JEE Mains counseling.

The Admission diversification under Direct Management Quota and Vacant Seats

  • The seats for KEC admissions will be completed only after the qualifying exams like UPSEE or JEE Main are given out. The acceptable percentage is 45 for general candidates, and relaxation of up to 40% will be given for reserved candidates. Or the candidates who have done their Diploma in Engineering are also accepted.
  • In order to be qualified for getting admissions in any college, candidates will have to register their names on the official website of the respective college; only then will the applications be taken into count.
  • Seat allocation in KEC for Management as well as the vacant quota is given based on the preferential order of—candidates with clear4nce of JEE Main or UPSEE or any other considerable examination where PCM subjects are scored well.
  • The college provides direct admissions to Kashmiri Migrants for the initial year of the B-Tech/ B.E program.
  • They also wavier the fee structure to a certain extent, mainly for the economically weaker candidates but who have scored in merit, and there will be no tuition fees charged for such students.
  • The final percentage of a fee waiver for seats is only up to 5% only for the concerned category, and for the rest, the seats will be allotted through the counseling process of UPSEE.
