According to the latest update given by the Union Health Ministry, the exam date of NEET PG, which was scheduled on 12, March 2022, is now further postponed to 6-8 weeks. The exact dates of NEET PG will be updated soon. The registration for NEET-PG was closed on February 4, 2022, and on the same day, the ministry has announced the postponement of the exam. There was a constant demand for the exam postponement from March 12, 2022. After the declaration of the Supreme Court, the Union of health ministry has shared the official orders with the public.
The demand for postponement of NEET PG 2022 was raised by doctors who showed concerns about the entrance exam date clashing with the counselling dates. Many interns raised their worry about not participating in the PG counselling. So, considering the above concerns, the Union Health Ministry, Mr Mansukh Mandaviya, declared the defer in exam dates. The NEET PG 2022 is an online exam conducted by computer-based test (CBT) for those seeking admission to PG medical programs like MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses.
The NEET PG exam is postponed with a timeline of 6-8 weeks as the demands of students are accepted by the court. The National Board of Examinations has not yet announced the confirmed date. As the registrations were closed on February 4 2022, there are chances of extending or changing the deadline. Since the postponement orders have recently been updated, NBE has yet to comment on the news.
