According to reports citing government sources, counseling for NEET PG 2022 is scheduled from September 1. The Medical Counselling Committee has not yet announced the dates for counseling. The National Medical Commission is inspecting medical colleges, and the last day to issue a letter is August 15, so NEET PG 2022 counseling procedure will be delayed, according to an official.

Online counseling will be held for NEET PG 2022 seat allocation to various postgraduate medical programs in central, deemed universities, 50% state quota seats, and 50% AIQ seats. The official timetable will shortly be posted on the MCC website. The NEET PG 2022 results were released on June 1.

Candidates who achieved the minimum cut-off in NEET PG 2022 will be qualified to participate in the counseling procedure. NEET PG Counselling Registration is the first stage in a sequence of NEET PG 2022 counseling processes. For the counseling, candidates must register on the MCC's official website. Following registration, option declaration for college and course, seat processing, seat allotment results, and reporting to the appropriate college assigned will follow. For the counseling, candidates must also submit a NEET PG 2022 online registration fee.

  • For Central and Deemed Universities, there will be three rounds of counseling, followed by a NEET PG counseling 2022 final mop-up round at the Institution Level for stray openings.
  • Students from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana qualify for All India Quota Counselling.
  • Only candidates who did not register for Round 1 may register for Round 2.
  • Candidates that apply to both AIQ and the Deemed University must only pay the higher cost, INR 5000, for the Deemed University.
  • Candidates must receive a score equal to the MCC's qualifying NEET PG cut-off.
  • Candidates must enroll at the designated institution or college and complete the admissions requirements to be eligible to participate in the subsequent round if a seat is allotted during Round 1.
  • Candidates must carry proof, in the form of an affidavit or undertaking, proving that the documents belong to the same individual if there is a spelling mismatch.

NEET PG 2022 Counselling

According to the officials, NEET PG counseling would start concurrently for all central universities, deemed universities, 50% of seats from the All India quota, 50% from state quotas, and 50% from medical and dental colleges.

The authorities said that the government has decided to hold a unique round of counselling without any cut-off percentile eligibility, keeping in view that 748 seats in NEET Super specialty counselling for the academic year are still open. This special round of NEET PG counseling will not be repeated.

They stated that the second special mop-up round for NEET-SS 2021 counseling would start on Tuesday. NEET-PG is typically held in January, with counseling beginning in March. However, a senior official said that this year's exam was held on May 21, and the results were announced on June 1 because of COVID-19 and the delay in the admissions procedure from the previous year.

Additionally, the NMC conducts inspections of medical institutions, and the deadline for giving permission letters is August 15. So that all new seats can be included in the first round of NEET PG counseling, the official has decided to begin the counselling procedure on September 1.
