MBBS Admission Eligibility Criteria in Telangana

Two major concerns to consider while procuring admissions for MBBS in Telangana are the educational criteria and Nationality of the applicant. The respective applicant should have passed 12th Board exams in any of the recognized college (English should be as one of the language) with minimum aggregate of 50% in subjects like Physics, Chemistry Math, and Biology (PCMB). In Telangana state the candidate’s age should be 17 for proper acceptance age for the course. Also, the candidates should be qualified enough for the NEET Cut-off that has been set by CBSE Board.

Regarding Nationality, All candidates seeking admissions for MBBS in Telangana state should be citizens of India. If the applicant is considered domicile candidate then the Students applying under this category should have compulsorily studied in a Telangana state-based institute that has been recognized by the state government. The candidate should be a resident of that region for at least seven years will mostly be considered for admissions. The rest 15% seats are allotted for the non-resident candidates of the region.

Step 1:- Registration

The application procedure for MBBS admission in Telangana is applicable in online mode now where the students can fill in the required details in order to be eligible for participation for counseling. The eligible candidates should have successfully registered themselves for Telangana MBBS application for required admissions.

Step 2:- Application Fees

The applicants have to pay application fees through online. The required amount has to be paid through online payment by debit/credit cards by the candidate.

Step 3:- Verification of documents

By only filling the application forms the candidate won’t be eligible for counseling, all the submitted documents will be verified by the designated authority and later will be continued with counseling process.

MBBS Admission Selection Process in Telangana

The applicants will be allotted medical seats in Telangana state based on merit list and the NEET score released by the authority. The candidate can firstly check the Telangana MBBS and BDS seats availability and their respective counseling details that are updated in their official website. Later the seat allotment is done based on the preferences made by the candidate during the counseling process. Once the applicant assures his/her the eligibility criteria, completes the application process and verification process then the selection process of the candidate is said to be completed.

The counseling procedure for MBBS admission in Telangana is conducted by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS). There will be a mock allotment round in the beginning of the counseling process which helps the candidates to become familiar with the whole process and the available options to choose for specializations. In the counseling process the candidates can eventually change their options and requirements and can finalize their preferences of courses in the actual round of counseling. This mop-up round will be conducted only if there are any vacant seats available in MBBS admissions in Telangana.
