MBBS Admission in Haryana: Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria, Counselling & Seat Allotment

MBBS admission to college in Haryana will be conducted by the competent authority of Directorate of Medical Education (DMER), Haryana. Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria set by the state counselling authority will be taken into consideration for Haryana MBBS admission. Candidates qualified in NEET UG exam will be considered as eligible for seeking admissions. So, on basis of score obtained in NEET by the candidates, the admission to MBBS is 581 seats are offered of which under state quota there are 85% seats in Haryana while remaining 15% seats of government colleges are offered under All India Quota seats (AIQ) and candidates will be selected through the same.

• For 85% State Quota seats centralized counselling takes place on basis of state merit rank extracted from NTA NEET score conducted by DMER.
• The 15% All India Quota seats the admission criteria is that online counselling will be held by MCC based on NEET UG score for all government medical colleges.
• MBBS admission to private colleges in Haryana will be done through NEET score and online counselling process organised by DMER, Haryana.
• Similarly, admission to MBBS at deemed and central universities the seat allotment will be given using NEET UG score obtained by the candidates conducted by DGHS.
• Qualified candidates being eligible for applying to MBBS course through NEET will further appear for the counselling process later on basis of various criteria and cut-off a merit list will be prepared and seat allotment for the course to different colleges will be given.

Eligibility Criteria for MBBS Admission in Haryana

It is mandatory for candidates to be eligible before filling up the application form of Haryana MBBS.

• A candidate must be a citizen of India. Also, NRI, PIO and OCI aspirants will be eligible for Haryana MBBS admission 2020. One must be actual resident of Haryana.
• When it comes to age criteria aspirants need to be minimum 17 years of age and should not exceed more than 25 years of age.
• Basic eligibility is that candidates need to pass class 12^th science i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects. Also, minimum 50% aggregate marks is required in the qualifying exam for those general category students and those reserved category students must have obtained 40% then for PWD category, it is 45%.
• Aspired candidates should have cleared National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
• Candidates to be qualified in NEET students must have secured minimum qualifying percentile. For general category students the qualifying percentile is 50, same for SC/ST/OBC it is 40 also for PWD candidates the minimum percentile required is 45.

Application Process for MBBS Admission in Haryana

Directorate of Medical Education (DMER), Haryana shall publish the Haryana MBBS application form only in the online mode that is in the official website. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements and have been qualified in NEET entrance exam as per the cut off score are eligible to fill and submit the application form.

Candidates who meet the above eligibility requirements and candidates who have been qualified in NEET entrance exam as per the cut off score are eligible to submit the application form. Applicants in the first will have to register to process the application form for Haryana MBBS admission. Then one will have to create a unique login credential, upload their photographs as well documents in the prescribed format such as 10th marks sheet, 12 marks sheet, NEET UG score card also other relevant education documents . Later need to verify the details and make the application fee payment in the online mode. For general category students the application fee is INR 4000 and for Reserved/PH students it is INR 1000.

Selection Process for MBBS Admission in Haryana

The selection of candidates in Haryana will be done on basis of candidate’s performance in NEET entrance examination. Therefore, it is mandatory for candidates to appear and clear NEET entrance examination in order to obtain admission for MBBS in Haryana Medical Colleges. Once the application process of MBBS for Haryana colleges are done the authority will release the provisional merit list and those candidates are been shortlisted shall take part in the counselling session for seeking admission seat. The state rank list will comprise of candidates name, category, NEET roll number, NEET scores and state merit rank.

Counselling Process for MBBS Admission in Haryana

Haryana Counselling session will be conducted by Directorate of Medical Education (DMER), Haryana. Candidates successfully submitted the application form for MBBS admission in Haryana will be concluded in the MBBS provisional merit list.

• Qualified candidates whose names are shortlisted and been listed in the merit list will have to report at the allotted verification centre and in order to complete the document verification process candidates must submit the original documents.
• As per candidates preference those verified candidates can fill up their choices of colleges/courses in the option entry form and shall save and submit the same for its confirmation.
• Considering the candidates merit rank, category, choices filled, nationality also on basis of availability of seats, for the verified candidate’s seat allotment will be done.
• Further candidates allotted with seats will have to report at the allotted Medical institute and complete formalities of other admission process within the stipulated date & time.
