JEE Main 2021: Results to be out by March 7; Check here for Cutoff and other details

The first session of JEE Main 2021, i.e., in February, has been concluded, and NTA, the conducting body of this examination, will release the Feb session results on March 7, 2021. The JEE Main 2021 of Feb month was conducted from 23-26th in online mode for three hours, where the whole exam process was organized in 300+ cities of the country. JEE Main organizes the exam four times only for B-tech aspirants, and there are only 2 sessions for B-Arch and B-Planning aspirants. The B-Tech session for candidates will be happening in 828 centers, and for the other two courses, there are 437 centers.     

There is always more percentage of participants for the B-tech program than B-arch and B-Planning as per the records. The total number of students recorded for this Feb session was around 6, 60,000+ where 95% of the participants were for B-Tech paper and the rest were for paper 2. 

When Will JEE Main 2021 (first session) Results Be Out

National Testing Agency (NTA) said the first session results of JEE Main would be released by March 7, 2021.

From this year, NTA has decided that JEE Main will be held four times a year. Once the results are out for the initial session, all the other procedures regarding the students' counseling and seat allocation are ranked in the merit list. Post the results, the application forms for other sessions will be out subsequently. Only after all the four rounds of JEE Mains are done the final list of merit will be given out by the NTA as the better scores are taken into consideration if the candidates have taken multiple attempts. Applications for each session of JEE Main will be open only when the previous session results are out. In the below table, there are speculative dates for the rest three sessions of JEE Main that will happen in March, April, and May 2021

Cutoff criteria for JEE Main 2021

According to last year's cutoff percentage for JEE-Main, allotted for the unreserved candidates' category was for 90.3765 and up to 89.7548 to get into their common rank list-CRL has said for the year 2019. This cutoff was for the general category, and the percentile was dipped for other categories of candidates like SC/ ST and Economically Weaker Sections and people with a physical disability (PwD).

In the previous year's NTA records, 10 lakh+ candidates appeared for the first session of JEE Main 2020, and for the second session, it was dipped for 6.35 Lakhs was conducted in September. The cutoff percentile of JEE Main indicates the score secured by the last person to attempt for JEE Main and be equally qualified to take up JEE Advanced who are trying to get admissions in some of the most prestigious institutions IIT's all over the country. More than 2.5 Lakh candidates are in the top ranking for JEE Main and are equally eligible for attempting JEE Advanced. If there is a dip or increase in the cutoff percentage at all, it will proportionately react to decline or improvement of their performance in the examination.
