JEE Main 2021: May session to collide with Karnataka CBSE Board Exams

JEE Main is the standard exam taken up by students aspiring to become engineers, and it is also accepted for other UG programs offered all over the country. Admission to many institutions will impact the student's performance in the JEE Exam. JEE Main is a computer-based exam with a total value of 300 marks, and the questions are in the MCQ pattern with no negative marking scheme. This entrance exam is held twice annually, i.e., in Feb and May month of 2021.

The Feb session of JEE Main will commence from 23rd till 26th of the month, and the admit card for the same will be given out soon. Talking about the May month session of JEE Main, the authority's speculative dates are likely to clash with the Karnataka Education Board's dates for the CBSE Board exam.

The May session of JEE is supposed to start on the 24th of that month. The CBSE Secondary Board exams have their Biology & Physics subject scheduled on the same day, Mathematics and Chemistry are on May 27 and 31st. The CBSE students have their exams started from May 4th to June 11th, in between which JEE Main is also held- Starting from May 24- 28, 2021.

The students appearing for their board exams are extremely worried about the clash of dates as it will affect their chances of performing better in both the exams. They flooded Twitter regarding the news and requested the Union Education Minister and the State Education Board to respond regarding the same issue.

The State Education authority must consider this issue as this will impact the students' overall performance in both Board and Entrance, which are equally essential in making their career. It is expected that the concerned members will reschedule the JEE Main dates for students' convenience.
