Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology is also known as DUIET. It has opened the admission process for the BTech and MTech batch of 2026. You can apply online via the DUIET web portal. The online application started on April 30. The last date for applying is June 30.

If you wish to apply to the BTech course, then you must pass class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. These are compulsory subjects. You must secure at least 45% marks. Reserved category candidates have to secure a minimum of 40%.
If you are looking to enroll in Computer Science Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering, then chemistry is not a mandatory subject. If you hold D.Voc qualifications in related fields, then also your eligible to apply.
Moreover, if you have valid CEE Assam 2026 or JEE Main 2026 scores. You must be 17 to 21 years old to be eligible. Reserved category candidates will get relaxation.
For PG engineering students, the university offers the MTech course. You can enroll into any specialization from many. The university provides industry focused education. Also, focus on advanced technology and practical learning. These are:
For MTech admissions, you should have a BTech degree. You must have scored at least 60% marks from a recognized Institute. If you have a GATE score, then you can directly apply. With this score, you may receive preference during admissions. If you have an MSc degree, then you can also apply to a few MTech specializations. If you are looking to take lateral entry, then you must have a diploma in engineering or a BSc degree with Maths. All candidates must be Indian citizens.
The university will accept applications only in online mode. You have to apply via the DUIET web portal. They won’t consider any offline applications. For BTech admissions, selection is on the basis of your performance in JEE Main or CEE Assam 2026.
If you are applying to MTech, you should have a valid GATE score. You can apply directly without appearing for any additional exam. However, if you are non-GATE student, then you have to appear for the university’s entrance exam. There are several reservation policies and relaxation for eligible categories. These reservations are as per government rules.
