Vidya Pratishthan's Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) came into excistance in 2000 at Baramati with the utmost motive to provide quality education in Computer and Management Science. It was established under the aegis of Vidya Pratishthan. It is a Charitable Trust established on 16th October 1972. VIIT provides two postgraduate courses -MBA and MCA under various specializations. Therefore, candidates must ensure the eligibility criteria to be eligible for admission.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates willing to get admission into the MCA course must have a BCA or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering or any equivalent Degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
• The candidates can have this alternate eligibility criterion of having a B.Sc. or B.Com or BA degree in Mathematics at 10+2 Level or Graduation Level with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
• For admission into the VP College Baramati MBA course, the candidate must have completed a minimum three-year Bachelor's Degree in any discipline or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Candidates appearing for the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply if they provide the required documents within time.
• The backward classes, economically weaker sections and Persons with Disability categories belonging to Maharashtra State have at least 45% relaxation.

Selection Criteria

• The selection process is completely based on performance in entrance examinations. The eligible candidates for the MCA course must appear in MAH - MCA CET exam, while the eligible candidates for the MBA exam must appear in XAT/ MAH CET/ GMAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ CAT/ ATMA exams.
• The final seat allotment process will occur through CAP (Centralized Counselling Process), administrated according to the guidelines stipulated by DTE, Maharashtra. As a result, applicants must register online via CAP Portal.

The infrastructure of Vidya Pratishthan Baramati Campus is pretty good. The whole campus is wifi enabled, and the classrooms are well-designed and updated with modern equipment. In addition, the institution's library, spread over 240 sq.m, serves as a knowledge hub for the students.

The library is stocked with 13,104 textbooks and reference books to date. In addition, the library of VIIT has a subscription to 36 national and international journals. The library also has EBSCO, IEEE and J GATE subscriptions and the leading daily newspapers.

VIIT has 5 computer labs with a network of 350 computers powered with Gigabit fibre-optic backbone and Gigabit switches. The other facilities the institution provides are playgrounds, a museum, a canteen, an auditorium, research labs, common rooms etc.
