There are the following qualifications that a candidate must meet to get admission to the MCA course:

• Recognized Bachelor's degree of BCA/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent. Minimum passing marks should be 50% and 45% for SC/ST candidates.
• BSc/BCom/BA degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 45% for SC/ST candidates. These applicants shall have studied Mathematics as the main subject at the 12^th level. (With additional bridge course according to the norms of BVP)

Selection Criteria at IMED Pune for MCA course

The BMAT exam serves as the basis for MCA selection. Admissions are made solely based on exam performance and available seats.

• For immigrants from J&K, there is a seat reserved over and above the authorized intake of the program, but the candidate must have taken the BMAT.
• 15% of the available seats fall under the merit category for foreigners, NRIs, P.I.Os, OCIs, and managers.

IMED Pune provides three-year full-time BBA and BCA programs at the UG level. BBA has a 180-seat intake, while BCA has a 120-seat intake.

IMED Pune Ph.D. Admission

IMED Pune provides a full-time Ph.D. Program in Management at the doctoral level. The program lasts for three years.

• Candidates seeking admission to a full-time Ph.D. program must have completed their postgraduate studies with at least a 55% overall average in a relevant field from an accredited university.
• Reserved category students receive a 5% relaxation. Therefore, a minimum cumulative grade of 50% is necessary.

• Candidates who have taken the UGC-NET (including JRF/AYUSH-NET) or UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF/SLET/GATE/GPAT/Project Fellows/Teacher fellowship or DST inspire fellowship, DBT fellowship, Quality improvement program (QIP)/National Doctoral Fellowship Scheme (PDF), or who have completed an M.Phil, will be exempt from the BVP entrance exam.
