Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust is the parent institute that established the SJCIT in Chickballapur. Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji, an Indian religious leader, founded the institute in 1986. Being a premier engineering institute in Karnataka, it aims at providing moral-based technical education. The AICTE, New Delhi, approved the SJCIT Chickballapur for offering technical education. The quality of the teaching is reflective of the ISO 9001:2015 certification received by the Institution. SJCIT accreditation list includes central bodies like NBA and NAAC. SJCIT College Courses include a four-year undergraduate UG degree BE/B Tech in 12 disciplines. In contrast, the PG programs include MBA and M Tech in five disciplines. Students who wish to apply under the CET Quota must satisfy the SJCIT CET Cut off. If a student's merit rank is not equivalent to the cutoff criteria, they can opt for management seats.
