Candidates seeking admission in S B Patil College must ensure the eligibility criteria before filling out the admission form. There are some eligibility criteria that a candidate needs to follow as per the Maharashtra government's Directorate of Technical Education (DTE):

• Bachelor's degree of 3-year duration in any field from a university accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or the Association of Indian Universities with a minimum score of 50%. (at least 45% for applicants from underrepresented groups and those with disabilities who reside solely in Maharashtra state).
• The applicant must have earned a grade in the admission exam held by the appropriate authority and be good for the 2020–21 academic year.
