Ramanujan College

Ramanujan College formerly known as Deshbandhu College. The campus is situated in Delhi and it was established in the year 1958 by the Ministry of Rehabilitation under the Government of India. The college drew its inspiration from Srinivasa Ayiangar Ramanujan, one of the world's greatest ever mathematicians. The college follows the motto - "Nishtha, Dhriti, and Satyam. The college is fully funded by University Grants Commission and is affiliated with Delhi University. The college became a co-educational college in 1994 and has been accredited grade "A" by NAAC and was ranked 26th by National Institutional Ranking Framework in 2018.
The college has a vision of transforming society so that inclusive and collaborative research becomes a constant process that can be further used for the betterment of humanity.
Ramanujan College offers 16 different courses to its students, including disciplines of Humanities, Social Science, Commerce, Management, and Vocational Studies.

Ramanujan College offers various UG courses in different streams. The courses offered by the college are B. Com., B. Com (Hons), Bachelor of Management Studies, BA, BA (Hons), B. Sc. (Hons), and Bachelor of Vocational Studies.
In addition, the college offers Undergraduate Diploma and Certificate courses as well. To apply for these courses, the candidate must have completed a 10+2 level with valid marks.
The college offers a reasonable fee structure to its students. For the economically weaker sections, the college also waives the fees so that the learning opportunity cannot be denied. The college offers a differential fee structure. The costs of the second and third years can be paid through 2 instalments via the ICICI bank portal.

Also, the college provides free ships to students availing from economically weaker sections of the society during their admission and every semester to complete higher education without any restrictions.
Eligibility and Selection:

• The college maintains a scholarship committee to keep an eye on the result of students in each course. The selection committee selects students obtaining first and second positions in each course for the scholarships.
• The students who are eligible for free ships need to apply each semester along with required documents in the prescribed format. The students are then called for interaction with the committee members and then the final list is prepared based on the need of the student and the number of free ships available.
• There is also a provision of Alumni Scholarship in which each Department recommends two names on a merit basis. The selection committee approves every year maximum of 25 prizes.
