Rajamahendri Institute of Engineering and Technology (RIET), East Godavari, is a self-financing engineering institute established by The Swarnandhra Educational Society in the academic year 2008. The education society has been handled and managed by the best academicians, philanthropists, and technocrats. The Institute has been situated in 10 acres of lush green land free from the hustle and bustle of the city and is also free from pollutions. The Institute has an atmosphere that promotes the attainment of technical knowledge.

RIET, East Godavari, has 6 programs in engineering that are offered for the students, such as Polytechnic Diploma and B.Tech. The Intake for CSE and ECE in B.Tech is 120 students and for EEE and ME in B.Tech are 60 students. Polytechnic diploma in EEE and ME is having an intake of 60 students. All the programs offered in the institute are accredited by ‘A’ grade from NAAC along with JNTU, Kakinada affiliation, and AICTE, New Delhi approval.
