VSM College of Engineering was founded in 1966 as a self-funded institution. The college is affiliated with JNTU-Kakinada, provides students with engineering diplomas, B.Tech. and M.Tech. Programs. AICTE approves the courses offered by VSM College. In addition, NAAC accredits VSM College with a 'B' Grade. The college was established with a vision to impart world-class education to the aspirants in engineering streams at a reasonable cost.

• To be admitted to the M.Tech program, the applicant must pass the GATE/AP-PGECET exam.

• Full-time B.Tech Programs are also available at VSM College in a variety of streams.
• A minimum of 50% aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects from a recognized board is required to apply for this four-year program.
• To apply for B.Tech, a candidate must pass the EAMCET state-level admission test. Seats will be assigned based on EAMCET scores and state-level counselling. There are 480 seats available in total for B.Tech. Specialities at the college.

• For admission to the M Tech at VSM College, candidates will be chosen based on their GATE or AP-PGECET scores, followed by state-level counselling.
• To apply for M.Tech, aspirants must have a B.Tech. Or B.E. degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved category). In each specialization, there are 18 seats available.

• The AP-POLYCET scores determine admission to the three-year Diploma program. Candidates must attend counselling after passing the test to be admitted to the college.
