Kakinada Institute of Technology and Science, situated in East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, was established in 2009 through the Kranthi Educational Society. KITS is affiliated with JNTUK and accredited with AICTE. KITS received the 30th rank in the State for its quality technical programmes. In addition, NAAC accredits KITS with a 'B' Grade. The college imparts quality education in various streams such as engineering, management and pharmacy courses. It offers B Tech at the UG level and MBA, M Tech and M Pharm at the PG level. In addition to the UG & PG courses, it provides a Diploma.

• KITS provides B.Tech in six specializations. The minimum eligibility for B. Tech at KITS is 10+2, with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as three of their compulsory subjects.
• B. Tech admission at KITS is done through AP-EAMCET. The final selection of the students will be based on merit in EAMCET as well as 12^th Marks.
• 75% of preference will be given AP EAMCET rank and 25% preference for 10+2 aggregate marks. By considering these parameters, a merit list will be prepared by the admission authority.

KITS offers an M. Tech program in 6 different types of specializations, an M. Pharm program in 2 different types of fields and an MBA program (general) in its post-graduate program.

• For admission to the PG courses at KITS, aspirants should have a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in the relevant field with at least 50% marks from an AICTE/UGC approved university.
• For M. Tech and M. Pharm courses at KITS, the aspirants have to appear for the AP-PGECET entrance examination. Candidates who have qualified in GATE or GPAT will have more preference during the seat allotment procedure.
• For admission to the MBA course at KITS, the candidates will have to qualify for AP ICET.

Students willing to secure admission to the B Tech, M Tech, MBA or M Pharm at KITS must register for the entrance exam as a primary step. The registration procedure is entirely online.

• The AP EAMCET/AP PGECET/AP ICET application form has to be submitted online through the official website of the respective exams.
• The application procedure concludes some of the steps such as Registration, creating login Credentials, filling application form, uploading documents and making the payment.
• The application fees cost approx. INR 400 for EAMCET and PGECET entrance tests.
• While for AP ICET, application fees charge approx. INR 450.
