Prasad V. Potluri Siddhartha Institute of Technology (PVPSIT) was established in 1998 in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The college runs under the Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education. AICTE  has approved the PVPSIT to offer technical education. In 2013, NAAC accredited the college with a "B" Grade. Later in 2017, it was conferred an "A+" Grade for its quality initiatives and standards. Besides, UGC was conferred Autonomous status in 2012. The state Government of AP also rated the PVPSIT as A Category College. It is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) in Kakinada.

PVPSIT Vijaywada Andhra Pradesh was established with the sole aim of imparting high-quality technical education to the students. In contrast, the college has the vision to foster professional and academic excellence. Henceforth, PVPSIT has been certified by ISO 9001:2015 for the sustenance of quality. PVP Siddhartha Engineering College Fee Structure for B Tech is INR 70k per year. Applicants enrolling in M Tech must pay INR 1.4 Lakhs for two years. The tuition fee for MBA is 48k per annum. AP EAMCET scores are considered for B Tech admission. Applicants applying for MBA have to sit for ICET. In contrast, PGECET scores are used as selection criteria for the M Tech program.

PVPSIT Admission will be granted in two categories. Applicants who have a valid score in EAMCET/ICET/PGECET as per the Prasad V. Potluri Siddhartha Institute of Technology Cut off will be eligible to get Admission under Category A-Convenor Quota. 70% of seats are filled through the counseling process conducted by AP Government.

30% of seats are reserved for PVP Siddhartha Engineering College Management Quota and NRI Quota, according to the guidelines specified by APSCHE. Students not allotted seats through counseling due to low ranking can opt for management seats.

PVPSIT is situated in the serene environment of Kanuru, surrounded by a lush green field in the milieu of Vijaywada, the 2^nd largest city in AP. It is recognized as the "Global City of the Future" by Mckinsey Quarterly. The campus area is spread over 19.98 acres of land.
