National Institute of Agricultural Marketing

National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (NIAM) is an institute of national level started in August 1988 under the mentorship of the Government of India to provide research, specialized training, consultancy, and education in the Agricultural Marketing field. The students are trained in such a way they become quality managers in the future for the country's economic development.

• NIAM provides the students with training programs in the agricultural marketing field for middle and senior-level officers from cooperatives, state government, agribusiness entrepreneurs, and marketing boards.
• The institute plays an important role in providing agricultural extension personnel which is important in agricultural marketing.
• NIAM builds a marketing system to improve the primary producers,’ i.e., marginal and small farmers, to develop their net income.
• The institute contributes to developing the Agribusiness market and knowledge in management with research opportunities for overall development.

The mission is to become a Centre of excellence in agriculture and become innovative, efficient, and competitive in the changing business sectors. The institute produces human resources on a long-term basis that is adjustable for the changes that occur regularly. The institute covers nearly 32 acres of land and is located on NH 12, connecting Kota and Jaipur.
