The Government Medical College Kottayam was founded in Kottayam Kerala in 1962, also popularly known as GMC Kottayam. Mahatma Gandhi University-affiliated institute, where the college offers bachelor degree, master degree and diploma program in the medical field. MC Health Center was founded in 1965 by Ettumanoor, and in 1973, the PG courses MD Medicine and MS Surgery began.

The institute is connected to the Medical College Hospital, the College of Nursing in Kottayam, and the Institute of Child Health Gandhinagar. The Medical College Hospital bed strength is only 1401, although the health care is often between 140% and 150% busy. The university has modern facilities such as the blood bank,  imaging services, and modern laboratories, open-heart surgery, TMT, hemodialysis, laparoscopic & endoscopic procedures, a specialist clinic for anesthesia logical pain, computer laboratory for pulmonary function in the department for thorax and TB, the center of cardiac rehabilitation in the department for cardiology, specialist center for trauma care, advanced ICU for  Plastic surgery, Cardiac surgery,  medical emergency, and neurosurgery.

  • The MBBS program fee for five and half years is INR 1.21L in Government Medical College Kottayam; the M.D/M.S course fee is INR 2.06L (3 years), DM program fee is INR 3.90L, MS Ophthalmology fee is INR 2.06 lakhs, M.Ch. The course fee structure is INR 3.90L, the PG diploma fee is INR 1.22L, and the Diploma fee structure is INR 1.27L (2 years).

Government Medical College Kottayam is one of the familiar Government college in Kottayam, Kerala was founded in the year 1961 affiliated to KUHS ,Thrissur and the college is allied with Institute of Child Health & Nursing College and Medical College Hospital to provided practical training & internship. Bed strength in Hospital is around 1401 and college offers facilities like Modern laboratories, Blood Bank facility & Imaging services and even good hostel accommodation is available. GMC Kottayam course fee for MBBS costs approximate 26,000 for 1st year and from 2nd year onwards I paid the fee around 23,000 for entire duration fee expenses around 1.2 Lakhs

Seeking to take admission for MBBS in Government Medical College Kottayam, must meet the required eligibility terms. The basic eligibility is, candidates shall have qualified in 10+2 with 50% score and should have cleared NEET with valid score. Final selection and seat allocation will be done on the basis of NEET Merit Followed by counselling which will be conducted by CEE Kerala.
