L D College of Engineering is a public college located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It was established in 1948 by the Patel family and is one of the oldest engineering colleges in Gujarat. The college offers UG and PG programs in engineering and computer applications. It has been affiliated with Gujarat University since its inception. The institute's founder, Pravinbhai Patel (who had also served as its first Principal), became the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He was instrumental in ensuring that the institute got affiliated with Gujarat University and became one of the pioneers of technical education in Gujarat.
