Kakatiya University

The University of Kakatiya is located in the historic city of Warangal, the former home of the rulers of Kakatiya and an important city in the northern region of Telangana. It has turned 25 years of University existence. The 650-hectare university was first accredited by the NAAC in 2002 with the B + grade and re-accredited in 2008 with the A grade. With multiple affiliated and constituent universities covering the entire state of Telangana, the University of Kakatiya offers Regular courses and correspondence courses through the School of Distance Education and Higher Education. Institute consists of many departments with 248 teachers and 622 non-teachers who are committed and well informed in their respective streams.

• The University offers approximately 120 undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the Faculties of Sciences, Arts and Commerce and Business Administration, Social Sciences, Education Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Engineering with 180 affiliated and constituent colleges distributed in 4 districts of Telangana.
• In1974, the University of Osmania initiated by the Bachelor of Pharmacy course and was relocated to the Kakatiya University.
•  Admission to Kakatiya University is based solely on the applicant's qualifications and entrance exams, such as KU PGCET, TSICET and TSLAWCET. Candidates should have minimum aggregate marks in their previous qualified exams.
• The University offers Undergraduate courses such as BA, B.Sc., B. Tech, B. Com, B. Pharm and BCA, Postgraduate courses such as MA, M.Sc., M. Pharm, M. Tech, MCA and M.Com.

The main vision of the university's training and placement cell is to develop a quick access of the university to the state sector to several multinational corporations to allow Kakatiya University students to mediate nationally and internationally. University makes sure all the students gets equal opportunities through placement cell.
