The college of Engineering, Kakatiya University was founded in 1957 and was first located in a small town named Kothagudem (Kothagudem School of Mine). The college was moved from Osmania University in 1994 to Kakatiya University and was established as University College of Engineering, Kakatiya University, in Warangal, Telangana. Hence, it is a constituent part of Kakatiya University.  It is AICTE approved and is affiliated with Kakatiya University, and is a Public College.

The university covers almost 400 acres of land and has a peaceful, lush-green environment perfect for academics. The college aims to propagate knowledge through the blending of Technology with the roots of innovation to ensure learning from its core.

The university allows admission to 250 engineering students every year, and the faculty members and staff are well qualified in the area of specialization they work in. The faculty focuses on developing a modern technological society where the students also learn ethical, cultural and conscious sensitivity and promote technical proficiency and expertise.

B.Tech Program in University College of Engineering, Kakatiya University

The institute has five specialization courses in the B.Tech Program, and each specialization course is for four years. The fee structure for each course is stated below-

B.Tech Program Eligibility

Any candidate who wishes to pursue engineering in any of the above fields must pass 12th grade and Pre-University Classes from any of the recognized boards.

• The minimum aggregate score of the candidate must be 45%. Relaxation of 5% for SC and ST candidates
• The candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English in their 10+2 Senior Secondary School.

 B.Tech Program Selection Process

• The selection of candidates will solely depend on their score and ranking in the TS EAMCET.
• Admission seekers have to undertake state level entrance test that is TS EAMCET.
• After the declaration of result, eligible candidates have to undergo counselling.
• It is necessary for the candidates to score well in TS EAMCET as equivalent to the cut off norms set by college. Then, there will be a possibility to secure admission seat at UCE through seat allotment.
